FROM RECESS TO RUNWAYS: HOW MY LIFE CHANGED OVERNIGHT

While completing my last year of high school in my hometown of Quebec City, I was unexpectedly scouted to become a fashion model. In late 2012, I signed my first modelling contract with an agency (Chantale Nadeau). By early 2013, I was in New York City meeting some of the world's most renowned photographers and brand ambassadors. The day I wrote my last high school exam, I jumped on a flight to London where my career officially began.

Twenty minutes after landing at Heathrow Airport, I was in the Burberry office eyeing their next campaign. The teenage dream of many young girls had now become my own. For the next three years, I worked full-time all over the globe. Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Sydney and Tokyo all became home for a couple months at a time. I worked with some of the world's most prestigious agencies including Storm Model Management, Chadwick Management, Bravo Models Tokyo and Marilyn Paris. In 2014, I was a finalist for the model of the year (Canada) at the P&G Beauty Awards.

Beyond the job itself, this opportunity was a unique life experience. Not only did it drastically improve my communication, teamwork and time management skills but it also forced me to adapt to new, unknown and often stressful environments. I also discovered a passion for communications, marketing and languages. All of this shaped me into who I am today.
